Edgy. Romantic. Bohemian. Luxe. Effortless. These are some of the words that frequently come to mind whenever I think of the All Saints brand. This brand has been one that I’ve watched for years, and each season as they put out new designs, it makes me more excited to be able to see what they’ve got new-in. All Saints is a bit more for those of you that enjoy the slight edgy twist to a classic look – they’ve got some incredible pieces this season that gives me some serious Harley Davidson meets city girl vibes, and personally, I find that every season competes to be my favourite.

Firstly, to start, the leather jackets. The leather jackets are a key part of the All Saints brand that draw people into the store – the jackets have an incredible reputation for lasting, and the longer they’re worn, often the better they look. I’ve recently invested in the Dalby Jacket, one that if you’ve been following Monochrome Minimalist for a while, will know that it’s been in my Lust List for a very long time. The Dalby has been one that has withstood the test of time, it’s a classic biker style jacket with matte black and gunmetal hardware. Coming in classic colour ways, you’re not limited to only a black jacket. It also comes in a beautiful shade of red suede as well – which means that no matter your idea of the perfect jacket, odds are, a version of the Dalby Jacket will suit your fancy.

The romantic details

For those of you more keen on floaty, romantic silhouettes – I love the current direction that All Saints is taking in terms of edgy romance. Now, those two adjectives are not always words that you would see describing the same piece, however, I think that they’ve managed to perfect the balance between the two. The silhouettes are that in which you’d imagine a romantic summer evening – the delicate straps, feminine ruffle details, and elegant hemlines.

The edgy twist often added is in the colouring of the pieces – usually you’ll see a lot of black fabrics from All Saints. The style details are very delicate and feminine, but the colouring gives it the edge that the brand is known for. On the other hand, sometimes the colours and patterns chosen for the dresses are quite feminine and romantic indeed. To edge pieces like these up a bit, you could style it with a Balfern jacket and a pair of Orlana Boots, really ticking off the combat boot trend we’re seeing everywhere at the moment. Adversely, if you wanted to keep it as more of a romantic look, it could be styled with nude heels and a trench coat.

I’m not always one to go for trend-led pieces. However, this season I’ve been particularly keen on the classic, elegant lines introduced for the Autumn/Winter transition this year. The Serra Coat and the Leigh Lea Blazer are particularly what drew my eye originally. I love that they’ve taken such a classic piece and put added an interesting twist. You’ll stand out from a crowd wearing such classic pieces like these. To style them with a fresh twist, try adding a pair of skinny cigarette trousers and a pair of knee-high boots, like these from Alexandre Birman – my current tried and true favourites for autumn.
