Basically, I'm the gal that caught the travel bug and never let it go.

But here's the thing - up until last year, you'd probably find me burning the candle at both ends in a corporate job that came with a stuffy beige cubicle. I thought I was getting into something good - but it never quite fit the way I wanted it to. Kind of like the pair of boots you thought you loved, but always gave you blisters at the end of the day.

It was when I started setting up camp at the coffee machine just to get through the day that I knew I needed something different. And then, I got laid off and things changed. And while it was stressful and definitely presented a challenge, it also was the kick in the pants I needed to make the life I'd always dreamt of a reality. That day is what led me to finally pursue travel writing full-time, and finally starting to feel like I wasn't missing out on life because I had to do a job that wasn't lighting me up anymore. Today, you can find me running between Minnesota and Europe with my very southern Italian boyfriend (read: eats more carbs in a week than I could in a month).
